Cardarine GW-0742 is the NEWEST VERSION of Cardarine on the market. It has undergone esterification unlike its predecessor. This accounts for a longer potency, longer half life.

Cardarine is not your typical SARM, in actuality it is a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta. This specific receptor is one of three members of the PPAR group and is a ligand-activated transcription factor. Not only does it assist with metabolic functions, it also plays an important role in maintaining your energy levels. Like most compounds, Cardarine also has many other names. These names consist of GW1516 GW0742, GSK-516, and Endurobol. It has shown an affinity to aid with fat burning as well as possibly prevent obesity in its users.

Studies on Cardarine

The Brain

Several studies have been conducted to test various capabilities of Cardarine. Some of these research trials have tested for use with obesity, the brain, and muscle gain. Here is what was found.

When it comes to the brain, a study was done not with living, breathing rats but instead with a cluster of brain cell cultures that had been prepared using embryonal rat brain. GW 501516 was used to study inflammatory responses that were triggered by IFN-gamma and lipopolysaccharide (LPS).

The interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) is a dimerized soluble cytokine and is the only member of the type II class of interferons. Basically, what this means is that it combines with similar molecules to form what is called a dimer. This molecule is made of two identical molecules that are linked together.

Lipopolysaccharides are large molecules that consist of a lipid and polysaccharide and are found in the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria. The basis of the study was to see what would happen to these two substances when GW 501516 is introduced. The results, GW 501516 reduced IFN-gamma-induced up-regulation on TNF-alpha and iNOS as well as had anti-inflammatory effects.

Maintaining Heart Health with Cardarine

In a twelve week study, patients were given GW 501516 at varying dosages. These dosages included 2.5mg, 5.0mg, and 10mg. Those that received these dosages were relatively healthy participants with an HDL, or high-density lipoprotein level of < 1.16mmol/L.

When the study was at the beginning stages, certain levels were taken in order to create a baseline for the participants involved. Fasting insulin, glucose, lipids, and free fatty acid levels were of the levels taken for said baseline. By the end of this twelve week study, those involved had experienced a significant change in both cholesterol levels, meaning HDL and LDL. It was therefore concluded that GW 501516 has potential as a cardiovascular protection compound.

Obesity and Weight Loss with Cardarine

Two notable studies were completed on the subject of Cardarine and helping with both obesity and weight loss.

On a smaller scale study, six rhesus monkeys at the University of Maryland were subjected to a specific diet consisting of 13% fat, 18% protein, and 69% carbohydrates. During the study of GW 501516 and its effects on these monkeys, each monkey was given initial doses of 0.1mg/kg daily. By the end of the study, these same monkeys were administered 3.0mg/kg each day. The findings? By giving the monkeys a “treat” twice a day that had the compound as its main ingredient, these monkeys saw a reduction in food consumption which has the potential in aiding with obesity.

In a second study, wild type mice were placed on a high fat diet. What does that mean? Instead of having a diet of food that has a 4% fat content, these mice were placed on a diet that consisted of 35% fat content. Over the course of a two month span these mice saw a 30% increase in bodyweight and had an improvement in their glucose tolerance as well as a reduction in fat mass.

Pros & Cons: Cardarine

In most cases, there are some mild side effects to keep in mind when using any new substances. However, nine times out of ten, these side effects are outweighed by their benefits.

What are some benefits for Cardarine? For one, you can expect an increase in both stamina and endurance meaning longer and harder workouts are achievable. On top of this, you’ll be able to increase muscle mass as well as maintain it.

There are a few things to keep in mind when deciding on taking Cardarine. Number one being if you are planning to become pregnant or are pregnant then Cardarine is not for you at this point as it can cause issues with the development of the fetus.

The second thing to keep in mind is that there are not enough studies currently done on a large scale of humans to know its effects fully. However, it has shown an affinity to speed cancer in animal studies.
